AEW President Tony Khan recently attended the funeral of Jerry Jarrett, the father of WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett.
Khan, who serves as the head booker of AEW, labeled the late Jerry Jarrett as the greatest booker of all time. He tweeted:
“Today we paid tribute to the life and legacy of Jerry Jarrett, the legendary promoter and wrestler + the greatest wrestling booker of all-time. I never got the chance to know Jerry, but he was a hero to me and to countless people, and he has an amazing family. Rest In Peace Jerry.”
Jarrett died of a heart attack while undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer on February 14, 2023.
