AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter on Monday, reacting to the news that AEW Rampage scored a higher rating than WWE SmackDown in the key 18 – 49 demo for their head-to-head segments last Friday night.

As we previously reported here on eWn, AEW Rampage beat WWE SmackDown in the 10PM to 10:30PM segments in the demo rating with a 0.25 compared to SmackDown’s 0.218. With that being said, WWE SmackDown scored higher overall viewership for that half-hour period with 878,000 viewers compared to AEW Rampage’s 603,000. So, AEW won head-to-head in the key 18-49 demographic by 15%, while WWE won by 46% in total viewers. Of course, advertisers look at the key demo ratings as that’s where the money is. Khan said,

“LET’S GO @AEW FANS, WRESTLERS, STAFF! EVERYONE, LFG #AEW!!!!”

Khan also retweeted his own post from last week where he said he “can’t wait to finally beat your main show [Smackdown] head-to-head”. He also fired off some shots at CNBC’s Sports Business reporter Darren Rovell, who had posted the non-public overall viewership numbers for AEW Rampage over the weekend. Khan said,

“Here’s a story nobody leaked to you over the weekend but I’ll give you rn, dog: @AEW got a big victory over WWE after WWE aggressively extended their Friday show 30 minutes & loaded it up head-to-head 10-10:30pm vs #AEWRampage, with AEW Rampage winning 328k to 285k (+15% margin).”

Boss Fight Shop recently released two new action figures in their Legends of Lucha Libre line. One of the figures features a masked Konnan, while the other is a Lada Maravilla figure. You can check them out at this link.

Outlaw Wrestling is moving their return to live events to a new venue. The promotion has announced that Thursday’s show, which was set for Williamsburg in Brooklyn, will now be taking place at Queens Brewery.
