Roman Reigns defending the WWE Universal Title against Rey Mysterio was originally planned for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event. However, it was moved to Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
Andrew Zarian from the Mat Men podcast said that USA Network is not happy about FOX getting the match.
“I can tell you for a fact that USA Network is very unhappy that the Hell in a Cell match is happening on SmackDown. I’m not gonna say they are fuming but they are very unhappy about it.”
For years, Raw was positioned as the “A” show while SmackDown was the “B” show. That flipped when SmackDown went to FOX.
