As we previously reported here on eWn, CM Punk is at odds with All Elite Wrestling, leading to the two sides having another fallout.
Punk was slated to make his return to AEW on the June 17 premiere episode of AEW Collision after not being seen since All Out 2022. He was originally listed in the press release and promotional material for the announcement of AEW Collision before he was removed.
Punk and AEW are at odds due to a miscommunication over Ace Steel, who was part of the All Out 2022 brawl, being brought back as Punk is upset that Steel could not physically be at the TV tapings and would have had to work remotely.
Dave Meltzer confirmed on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Warner Bros. Discovery is hopeful that the two sides will be able to reconcile. It’s said that it’s not a done deal yet.
