Wes Lee defeated Tyler Bate and Joe Gacy in the opening match at WWE NXT Battleground 2023 to retain his NXT North American Championship.
The finish of the match came when Lee hit a Cardiac Kick on Gacy to pick up the 1, 2, 3.
Lee’s title reign currently stands at 219 days.
