In the main event of this week’s episode of Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wardlow to capture the AEW TNT Championship.
Following the show, Hobbs and QT Marshall returned to the ring to adress the crowd. Marshall wound up cutting a heel promo where he told the fans they were going to celebrate in a “real city.” Hobbs briefly took the microphone to reveal that they were headed to Oakland and that this is a “new chapter in the Book of Hobbs.”
Hobbs ended his promo by telling the fans to “kiss his black ass.”
