Kevin Nash has reacted to his role as ‘The Russian’ being recast in the latest blockbuster hit from the world of MARVEL Comics ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’
The film sees several characters from previous, less successful MARVEL movies brought back, including the role Nash played in 2004’s ‘The Punisher.’
Rather than Nash, the character is portrayed this time around by Billy Clements, who has appeared in MARVEL’s ‘Eternals‘ and ‘Dune‘.
On a recent edition of his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash reacted to his role being given to somebody else in the new film. He said,
“That doesn’t even … that looks nothing like the character I played. That looks nothing like the Russian. It looks like they gave somebody a favor.”
The Russian was introduced in MARVEL Comics In The Punisher #8 in November 2000 and has been a staple villain of The Punisher ever since.
