On a recent edition of the “Huge Pop” podcast, Mark Henry discussed the all-elusive ‘it factor’ and what it means to wrestling. He said,
“A lot of people hate those guys and girls. The people that have ‘it.’ Because usually the people that have it, you can hear them before they come in the room. Once they get in a room, sometimes it’s a visual, striking thing. Or the person, they look a certain way. You know, a bit different. Or they’re beautiful. Or they’re really nicely built. Or they’re built like Braun Strowman, where he looks like a giant ogre, giant wild man.”
Henry’s ‘it factor’ proved to be his immense strength with his wrestling character for years being sculpted around his strength.
In 2002, Henry won the Arnold Strongman competition, earning the right to be known as the World’s Strongest Man.
Henry finished his time with AEW earlier this year and has since appeared for WWE alongside his son Jacob, who has signed a NIL deal with the promotion.
