Saturday’s ‘The Big Event’ convention in Long Island broke its all-time attendance record.
It was said that Paul Heyman had a line that went across the entire Suffolk Credit Union Arena.
Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas), The Dudley Boyz, the APA, Jerry Lawler, Sgt. Slaughter, William Shatner, Francine, Shane Douglas, Sabu, Sandman, Tod Gordon, Steve Corino, Jerry Lynn, Lawrence Taylor, MJF, Dawn Marie, Lance Von Erich and Alex Wright all appeared at the event.
Marc Mero took to Twitter on Saturday to post a photo of himself with Alex Wright at a diner in Long Island, New York. As many of you may recall, both men were on the WCW roster together.
Mero wrote, “What a great time catching up with my longtime friend from Germany Alex Wright. He joined WCW as an 18-year-old kid and we became great friends. We traveled the roads together and here is a picture from us back in our WCW days and a picture of us Last night at a diner in Long Island, New York.”
