Wrestling veteran Raven may have been a force in the ring for years, but today’s examples of wrestling hold no interest to the ECW legend.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Raven spoke about how wrestling today is more negative than positive to him. He said,
“If I watch it, I’m gonna wanna do it. From everything I’ve heard, It’s ten minutes of good stuff and an hour-and-a-half of crap for the most part. When it’s been done at its best, I’ve been a part of it. I was already a part of it, I did it for 30-plus years. I just don’t have any interest in it anymore.”
Later on, Raven explained that his standard for pro wrestling varies differently to what he sees as the general expectation among many people. He said,
“Another reason why I don’t wanna watch wrestling now is because I hold the wrestling business to a higher standard and it’s a business that’s always been held to the lowest standard.”
Raven is a two-time ECW World Champion, a former WWE Hardcore Champion, and was inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2022.
