During Friday night’s edition of WWE 205 Live, it was announced that Santos Escobar vs. Jordan Devlin will take place at NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver. The match will determine the true NXT Cruiserweight Champion as this will be a unification match.
For those unaware, Devlin won the WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Worlds Collide in January of last year. He was then unable to defend it due to the COVID-19 pandemic and not being able to travel. In the meantime, WWE crowned a new champion as Santos Escobar won the title last summer. Devlin has been on social media claiming he is the true champion, thus leading to this match.
WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver will take place on Wednesday, April 7th and Thursday, April 8th on the USA Network and the Peacock streaming service.
