During the opening segment of Tuesday night’s live WWE SmackDown broadcast, Shane McMahon confirmed that SmackDown’s brand-specific pay-per-view events will begin with Backlash. The WWE Backlash pay-per-view will take place on September 11th from Richmond, Virginia.
John Cena is not currently being advertised for the WWE Backlash pay-per-view event. As noted above, the WWE Backlash pay-per-view will take place from Richmond, Virginia on September 11th. Cena is being advertised for the Shanghai, China live event the day before the PPV.
With almost a month and a half until WWE’s Backlash PPV, there’s plenty of time to start advertising him for the show if the company decides to feature him on the pay-per-view.
