WWE CEO Nick Khan has weighed in on the relationships between the McMahons by stating that “family is complicated” and so is business.
Last July, Vince McMahon retired from WWE due to allegations of misconduct with female employees, resulting in millions being paid out in NDAs.
It was later reported that McMahon and his wife Linda (who married in 1966) are “technically married” but have not been together for a long time.
McMahon’s retirement came months after Vince fired his son Shane McMahon for his actions backstage at the Royal Rumble in January 2022.
This month has seen Vince return to WWE and replace his daughter Stephanie McMahon as Executive Chairman of the promotion.
Speaking about the dysfunctional McMahon family, Nick Khan summed up his views on the Bill Simmons podcast. He said,
“Family is complicated, business is complicated, family and business is even more complicated. I just assume stay away from it. His son-in-law works there, he’s the Head of Creative and there’s always been a lot of Twitter chatter that somehow those two weren’t getting along or this or that, I think everybody’s getting along just great.”
Vince McMahon’s sole remaining relation working at WWE is his son-in-law Triple H, who oversees both the creative department and talent relations.
