WWE has confirmed they are bringing WrestleMania 40 to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is the first time since WrestleMania XV in 1999 that the city has hosted WWE’s premier event.
In a statement on WWE.com, the company confirmed that Lincoln Financial Field will host the two-day event, which will air on April 6 and April 7.
In a press release, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said the city is excited and will welcome WWE with open arms:
“We are proud to welcome WWE fans from around the world to Philadelphia to be a part of the historic 40th WrestleMania in 2024. The week-long series of events will help put a global spotlight on our great city while also generating a major impact for our local economy.”
Lincoln Financial Field is home to the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
