The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Elimination Chamber PPV event:
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus – Elimination Chamber Match
Hardy and Orton started things off. Hardy hit some dives off the middle rope for near falls. McIntyre was the third man in. McIntyre tossed them around. Kingston was next in and eliminated Orton with a roll up. Styles was next in. Kofi launched AJ back first into the chain. Kofi with a back kick and strikes to McIntyre.
However, McIntyre got the better of that exchange. McIntyre beat down everyone as he stared at Sheamus, who was the final person to exit his pod. Sheamus and McIntyre got into a brawl. Kofi did a dive off a pod and took everyone out. They did a tower of doom spot. Kofi was on another pod and jumped off of it onto everyone. Kofi with a series of kicks to Sheamus, but Sheamus countered a move and hit the Brogue Kick for the elimination. Hardy laid out Styles then hit a dive off a pod to take out Sheamus and McIntyre. Hardy with the Swanton Bomb to Styles.
McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick to Hardy for the elimination. Sheamus with White Noise to McIntyre. Styles with a springboard dive onto McIntyre. Sheamus to a clothesline off the top rope to Styles. McIntyre with the Future Shock DDT to Sheamus. Styles eliminated Sheamus with the Phenomenal Forearm. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but as he was coming down, McIntyre connected with the Claymore Kick for the win.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Post-match, Lashley attacked McIntyre with a spear. The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win to become the NEW WWE Champion.
