WWE started its new plan for NXT 2.0 by using younger and bigger talent instead of experienced independent talent.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has talked about cutting almost all of the veteran wrestlers that were not being used on television right now whether that’s the main roster or NXT.
Per the report, there has been talk of signing talent starting next year to 60-day contracts to see if they improve at all. Should they not do that then they won’t be signed to full-time deals.
This comes after Bryan Alvarez reported late Thursday night that WWE plans to evaluate talent every 6 months. If they don’t improve during that time period, they will get cut.
