The WWE came very close to having “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan on this year’s WrestleMania 36 event. The company did want Hogan to appear, but the two sides could not reach a financial agreement, according to The Observer.

The appearance for Hogan would’ve been for a promo, rather than a “match” or an in-ring segment or storyline. There were plans to induct Hogan, along with Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman as part of the nWo for the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame. However, that (obviously) did not happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Hulkster has been training for one last comeback match, hopefully at a future WrestleMania. Hogan suffered a torn right bicep less than a week before WrestleMania 36.
