Cody Rhodes may return to WWE without any prior announcement or confirmation by himself or the company.
Last month, Rhodes left AEW in a move that shocked fans, and it’s been rumored that he will return to WWE after leaving in 2016.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer all but guaranteed that Rhodes will return and said how WWE may keep it as a surprise ahead of their two-night WrestleMania:
“He’s coming. I mean, that’s it. He’s wrestling Seth at WrestleMania. Unless something changes. I sure watched this not thinking anything’s changing. How they do it, I think they may end up doing the Hardys thing where you know they’re coming and they don’t announce it and they just show up the day of the show. They may be doing that one.”
