Seth Rollins’ reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion was never at risk on this week’s episode of RAW, despite the main event title match with Jinder Mahal.
On this week’s edition of RAW, Rollins retained his title against the Modern-Day Maharajah. During the match, Damian Priest teased cashing in but was thwarted by Drew McIntyre.
Fightful Select is reporting that there was never any consideration for having Mahal win the title, nor was there any consideration for Priest to cash in.
Rollins is believed to have suffered an injury during this week’s RAW and was limping after the match. He is set to undergo an MRI soon to evaluate the damage.
Rollins has held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship since May 2023 after defeating AJ Styles in the finals of a 12-man tournament.
Damian Priest has held the Money in the Bank contract since capturing the briefcase at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 in London’s O2 Arena.
