- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match: Trick Melo Gang (Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams) defeated Edris Enofe and Malik Blade by pinfall.
- Oba Femi cut a promo about how he’s the North American champion, which gives him a right to rule over everyone. Dragon Lee came out to suggest Femi should keep up the open challenge concept and he wants a shot tonight. Femi says no. The open challenge idea is over. But he’ll consider Lee’s request for a match at Vengeance Day.
- Backstage, Trey Bearhill and Eddy Thorpe had a bonding moment in the locker room until Dijak came over to threaten Bearhill.
- Also backstage throughout the night, several women were highlighted in different ways to say that they’re ready to win the battle royal.
- Ilja Dragunov told Trick Williams backstage that he’s sorry for not being cleared to compete in their NXT New Year’s Evil match, but he offers him a title shot for Vengeance Day. Trick is happy, but Melo is upset that that’s the same night as the finals of the Dusty Cup.
- Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley defeated Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez by pinfall.
- Ridge Holland defeated Joe Coffey by pinfall. Gallus attacked Holland after the match. They made a point to call attention to how there’s nobody coming to help out Ridge, likely setting up a future tag team scenario.
- NXT Anonymous spied on Jacy Jayne, Thea Hail and some of the other girls chatting. Jayne dismissed them all after thanking them, but called Jazmyn Nyx back to hang out and get some drinks.
- Baron Corbin declared himself the leader of his team, clearly telling Bron Breakker the wrong interview time to sabotage him. Breakker says The Wolf Dogs are on the hunt and they’re going to win the Dusty Cup. Corbin takes umbrage with the Wolf Dogs name. Breakker suggests Wild Boars instead.
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match: LWO (Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde) defeated Chase University (Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne) by pinfall.
- Joe Gacy is randomly on the commentary team, sitting between Booker T and Vic Joseph.
- In the locker room, Von Wagner wants a shot at the Heritage Cup, but was confused about the rules Noam Dar was trying to explain, just to mess with Dar.
- Dijak defeated Trey Bearhill by pinfall. Gacy had headbutted Dijak during the match when the referee wasn’t noticing, but it wasn’t enough. They fought each other after the pinfall and battled to the back, while Lexis King attacked Bearhill from behind to get back at him for costing him the Breakout Tournament.
- Josh Briggs met up with JBL backstage. Bradshaw explains that he picked him for the qualifying match so he could discover himself. He wants Briggs to show the WWE Universe who he is.
- A vignette hyped up No Quarter Catch Crew training.
- Trick apologized to Melo for stepping on their moment by being too excited about the title shot. His solution is to just do both matches at Vengeance Day. Melo wants Trick to put all the Dragunov stuff behind them to keep their focus on the tournament and keeps being upset at Trick’s excitement that he could end up holding the NXT Championship and the tag titles at the same time.
- Battle Royal to determine Lyra Valkyria’s challenger for NXT Vengeance Day: The final four came down to Kelani Jordan, Fallon Henley, Kiana James and Roxanne Perez with Wren Sinclair (Madi Wrenkowski) being the last eliminated prior to that. Fatal 4-Way is currently ongoing. Roxanne Perez won by pinfall over Kelani Jordan.
