There has been talk about a WWE NXT star transitioning to the main roster in 2024 following the NXT Deadline pay-per-view event on Saturday night in Bridgeport, CT.
This event will showcase several matches, including the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. The men’s match will feature Dijak, Trick Williams, Josh Briggs, Bron Breakker, and Tyler Bate. The show will be headlined by a match between WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov and Baron Corbin.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bate could be main roster-bound. He wrote,
“There has at least been talk of Bate going to the main roster. His size isn’t particularly right for that but the size thing isn’t as big a deal now with Vince McMahon out of the picture and Paul Levesque being more open minded as to who can be a top star. Williams is the one coming into this match with the most momentum, and this could be where the Williams/Carmelo Hayes mystery attacker storyline climaxes.”
