After weeks of build-up, NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair finally took place.
Ripley successfully retained the title at Sunday’s WWE NXT TakeOver: Portland event from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on the WWE Network. Post-match, Charlotte Flair attacked Ripley and told her that she would see her at WrestleMania 36. This confirms the match.
Belair won a Battle Royal on an episode of NXT TV on the USA Network last month to earn the title shot.
The belief is that Ripley will make her next title defense against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36.
