Take all of the following news for what it’s worth since recent TV developments on NXT 2.0 may have given a bit of the game away, but we have updates on what to expect from NXT UK in the coming weeks.
- Spoiled a bit by the fact that he arrived on NXT 2.0 this past week with the title slung over his shoulder, Tyler Bate won his semi-final matchup in the NXT UK Championship Tournament and will face his old partner Trent Seven for the belt on next week’s show.
- Bate (who appeared already on WWE television this week with the belt) is set to face Bron Breaker in a championship unification match at the upcoming “Worlds Collide” event.
- Also scheduled is a Fatal Four-Way match to determine the new No. 1 contender for the NXT UK Women’s crown. The match will see Eliza Alexander vs. Isla Dawn vs. Amale vs. Blair Davenport for the right to compete for the top prize in the women’s division. Meiko Satomura currently holds the belt, and she has challenged current NXT 2.0 Women’s Champion Mandy Rose to a unification match at Worlds Collide.
- Noam Dar won the Heritage Cup for the second time. Thursday’s show saw the Scottish Supernova overcome Mark Coffey to become the first two-time holder of the Cup. Dar will likely be the last to hold the Cup for a while, since NXT UK seems set for hiatus following the upcoming Worlds Collide event. Dar ends Coffey’s run with the Cup at 42 days. Dar previously held the Cup for 259 days in a reign that stretched from October 2021 until June of 2022.
