Ronda Rousey made her return at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in St Louis, Missouri from The Dome at America’s Center by being a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
She won the match, which set up a SmackDown Women’s Title bout against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38.
Rousey came across at the Royal Rumble and Monday Night RAW as a heel. However, she came across much more like a babyface on Friday Night SmackDown.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that people have had to talk with Rousey following her promo on last week’s RAW. It was said she had to be pulled aside in order to be spoken with about the situation and told to let go of the past where fans turned on her.
Rousey is still said to be bitter with the fans for this during her first run in WWE. She could be seen high-fiving fans on her way to the ring while on SmackDown.
