The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE SummerSlam PPV event:
They lock up and Miz landed a big right hand then some more strikes in the corner. Miz with a series of kicks until Bryan stopped him and landed some strikes of his own. Bryan with a series of kicks in the corner. Miz with a headlock but Bryan got out and landed a kick to the chest. Bryan with a bulldog out of the corner for 1.
Miz with a knee strike in the gut of Bryan. Miz went for a submission hold but Bryan got out of it with a series of kicks then locked in his own surfboard submission hold. Miz got out of it with a pin attempt. Miz used the top rope to his advantage then hit a clothesline that turned Bryan inside out. Miz with a chin lock and followed up with knee strikes to the face. Bryan fired back with chops but Miz cut him off with a neck breaker for 2. Miz landed a series of strikes in the corner then taunted him.
Bryan fought back with his own strikes then hit a flying clothesline. Bryan with a series of drop kicks in the corner then some kicks to the chest and followed up with a hurricanrana off the middle rope. Bryan sent him to the floor and then hit a drop kick through the ropes. Bryan hit a clothesline off the top rope to the floor. Back in the ring, Bryan put the boots to him in the corner and landed a baseball slide and connected with a superplex off the top rope. Bryan with a series of body kicks but Miz reversed and hit a DDT for 2. Miz landed a series of body kicks of his own but it only fired up Bryan, who then slapped Miz a series of times then hit a head kick. Bryan went for the flying knee but Miz blocked and sent him into the ring post and hit the skull crushing finale for 2. Bryan hit a head kick for 2. They battled to the apron and Bryan landed some kicks until Miz moved and accidentally hit the ring post.
Miz locked in the figure four leg lock but Bryan was able to land a series of punches then turned it over and Miz got to the bottom rope. They exchanged right hands and Bryan rolled him up for 2 then hit a kick to the back and pinned him for 2. Bryan with a series of elbow strikes and locked in the YES Lock but Miz go to the bottom rope. Miz knocked him down but Bryan hit Miz with a drop kick into the barricade. Bryan went for an outside dive but Miz hit Bryan with a right hand, looked like he had brass knuckles or some type of small weapon that knocked Bryan out allowing Miz to pin him for the win.
Winner: The Miz.
