The piledriver was banned from WWE television for many years but the WWE Superstars want it reinstated. According to Fightful, several wrestlers have advocated for the return of the piledriver.
The move has appeared in many variations in the WWE. For example, the “Tombstone Piledriver” used by The Undertaker and Kane, or the “Canadian Destroyer” used by Andrade. The basic piledriver hasn’t been used since 2011 when CM Punk executed the move on John Cena during an episode of Monday Night RAW.
