AJ Styles appeared to have been injured during last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, but it was initially reported that it was part of the storyline and that he was okay.
WWE later announced that Styles had a “mid-foot ligament sprain.”
Dave Meltzer provided a conflicting report, stating that Styles’ injury is real.
He mentioned that Styles will undergo an MRI to assess the extent of the injury.
Fightful later noted that “the flip where he sold the knee was to be a work. The move where he landed on the knee was legit.”
The former WWE World Champion is now believed to be genuinely injured.
