The Best of V Series between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes has seemingly come to a close (unless WWE decides to keep adding more matches, as this started as just a one-time singles bout) with El Idolo coming out on top, putting down “Him” with a pinfall to go up 3-2 on their match on WWE SmackDown’s season premiere on the USA Network.
Following the match, WWE United States Champion LA Knight came out to cut a promo, informing Andrade that by proxy of his victory, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has granted him a title shot for next week.
Knight naturally said he would be retaining his title, so what Andrade really won was the “hit it and quit it sweepstakes.”
