WWE Superstar Asuka last wrestled for the company at WWE Backlash: France on May 4, 2024, wherein she and Kairi Sane lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. The Kabuki Warriors had to drop those titles in preparation for Asuka to undergo knee surgery, which she did roughly two weeks ago.
Thankfully, it appears The Empress of Tomorrow is already on the road to recovery with her latest post on her YouTube channel. In it, Asuka shows off how her rehab is going and the training she’s currently able to do:
It’s expected that Asuka will be unable to return to the ring for several more months, but considering she had been injured for weeks prior to her surgery, it is far more important for her to heal up and take her time than to rush back and risk making things worse.
Hopefully, this is a good sign she’s progressing quickly enough that it won’t be too long before she’s tearing it up in the ring and helping get Damage CTRL back on track.
