The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) are headed to WWE.

As reported yesterday, the Lucha Brothers have signed long-term contracts with WWE. This is likely a done deal, as the production of masks, t-shirts, and other promotional materials is already in progress.

The former AEW tag team will bypass NXT and debut directly on the WWE main roster.

Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix have been key players for AEW since joining Tony Khan’s company in 2019.

As you may know, Penta’s AEW contract expired between August and September, and Fenix’s contract was also set to expire this year.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Penta’s departure from AEW was expected for a while.

However, Fenix’s departure indicates that Khan permitted him to exit his contract ahead of schedule. This is because Fenix was sidelined for a year due to injuries, which extended the duration of his AEW contract.
