As we previously reported here on eWn, Joe Hendry made an appearance at the end of Sunday night’s WWE NXT: Heatwave pay-per-view event.
After Ethan Page captured the WWE NXT World Championship in the main event, Hendry’s TitanTron image briefly blipped over the TV screen as the show was going dark.
According to a report from Corey Brennan, there are plans to “heavily” use Hendry in the coming weeks and months as part of the ongoing WWE NXT and TNA crossover. It is said that WWE will be attempting to use Hendry’s ability to go viral through a series of small teases. There are several additional quick flash teases building to his next NXT appearance planned.
It’s worth noting that Hendry was not in Toronto for WWE NXT: Heatwave. Instead, he competed at a live event in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday.
