Backstage Update On The Motor City Machine Guns’ WWE Future + WWE Legends At Bad Blood 2024

On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a vignette teasing someone “coming soon” aired. The vignette featured a car revving up its engine and taking off, police sirens and what appears to be the city of Detroit, MI.

According to a report from Pwinsider, multiple sources have indicated that the vignette is for the Motor City Machine Guns. The team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were originally expected to have a short run in WWE NXT, but that will no longer be happening. Instead, the duo will be coming straight to the main roster.

Finally, it was added that the team was not at this week’s WWE NXT TV tapings in Chicago, IL as originally planned.

As we reported on Thursday here on eWn, several WWE legends are expected to be in attendance at Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 pay-per-view event. They include Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Diamond Dallas Page, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Madusa, and Jacqueline Moore.

Arn Anderson took to Twitter on Friday to confirm that he and Tully Blanchard will be appearing on the show, which takes place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. He wrote,

“Heading to very familiar surroundings for WWE Bad Blood tomorrow in Atlanta.

Having Tully there should provide some serious flashbacks, and it will be an honor to walk the halls of the fresh, new WWE.

To all my friends who still work there see ya tomorrow!”

As of this writing, there is no word on what the legends will be doing. It could be a case where they are shown sitting in a skybox watching the show, similar to what happened at SummerSlam 2024.
