As we reported earlier here on eWn, Giulia suffered a wrist fracture at Marigold’s debut event earlier this week.
According to a report from Fightful Select, several WWE NXT officials are hopeful that Giulia will be healed in time for the NXT Heatwave pay-per-view event, which takes place on July 7th. The current plan is to have an NXT Women’s Championship match between her and Roxanne Perez at the show, but those plans aren’t set in stone and could change.
Giulia will still be working for Marigold when she begins her tenure in NXT, as she is booked for the company’s Summer Destiny show on July 13th. The agreement between WWE and Marigold allows Giulia to work in both companies for the time being.
Giulia is expected to lead the next talent class at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, and WWE is not looking to make big changes to her. It is said that the company won’t be making major changes to her character as they signed her for “who she is.”
Giulia was seen during WrestleMania 40 weekend and was said to have been very polite to NXT talent and higher ups. She also had a lengthy conversation with Shawn Michaels at the Stand & Deliver pay-per-view event.
Finally, it was added that WWE is not concerned about the language barrier. One source pointed to IYO SKY, Asuka, Kairi Sane and others who have been speaking their native language on WWE TV. Giulia is also said to be very committed to learning English.
