Last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Fightful Select is reporting that several WWE higher-ups considered the show one of the biggest SmackDowns since this year’s WrestleMania 40 pay-per-view event.
The impressive backstage shot featuring CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was one that WWE rehearsed and planned meticulously throughout the day.
WWE Tag Team Champion Austin Theory was not at last night’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings. It is said that he woke up with swelling on his face. As of this writing, there is no word on when the #DIY vs. A-Town Down Under match will take place.
