As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2024.
During the match, Jacob Fatu appeared to land awkwardly while performing a splash off the top rope on Cody Rhodes through the announce table.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Fatu was planning to sell a leg injury following the splash in the main event. As of this writing, there is no word on if he was meant to sell the leg to the extent we saw.
As noted earlier, Fatu was spotted wearing a medical boot following the show.
Additionally, WWE kept the return of Roman Reigns a secret throughout the day. He wasn’t seen until just before he came out for his segment.
As we previously reported, Seth Rollins abandoned his “Referee Cam” during the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre match at WWE SummerSlam 2024. The reason for this is because the battery pack fell off.
Speaking of the “Referee Cam,” the equipment was first tested at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. It was later fine tuned before making its debut on Saturday night.
