Baron Corbin says WWE has improved in all aspects since Vince McMahon’s exit from the company.
While speaking with Denise Salcedo, Corbin praised the company’s ongoing growth and new directions in recent months under the helm of Triple H. He said,
“I think everything we have done has been for the better. And the coolest thing with Endeavor, it’s such a global company. We’re going to Netflix, which will be global. We’re doing more PLEs outside the US, like we’re here in Berlin now. We had Glasgow; you had Australia; you had Paris. It’s so neat to do that.”
He continued, “We have never done that since I’ve been on the main roster, so to get over and experience the culture to this magnitude whether it’s a television show like tonight, with SmackDown or a PLE like tomorrow with Bash [in Berlin], it’s such a fun and exciting time. I think the fans haven’t been this excited for WWE in a long time.”
Michin made a return to the WWE NXT brand several months ago, and she says that her brief run there helped her deal with some self-doubt she was having.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Michin commented on how thankful she was to be able to return to WWE NXT for a couple of months over the summer. She said,
“I’m so thankful being able to go to NXT for a couple of months because I think for a while I was having matches maybe once every two months or three months. I live in Dallas now, so I’m not close enough to the PC to get the rust off. Going to NXT, it felt like home. This is where I grew up in regard to my WWE career. It felt like I was back. I was able to shed that layer of insecurity and self-doubt. ‘I’m here to wrestle, let’s wrestle.’”
She continued, “We have a whole crop of new girls there. I want to lead them all, teach them whatever I can, and have fun. My mindset going in was to go wrestle and have fun. It was cool to feel comfortable in the ring again so that when I went back to the main roster, ‘Yeah, I’m used to this. I can do this.’ Going to NXT helped me up here [points to mind]. That’s the big thing. Once you get [your mind] right, everything falls into place. It’s nice to snatch the wig off and worry about my character, myself, and not have to worry about the edges. I feel like myself.”
