Becky Lynch may be a household name thanks to her work in WWE, but The Man tried to make her name in acting before she was a Superstar.
In a recent interview with The New York Post, Lynch recalled living in New York City and working as a waitress but wanting to pursue something bigger. She said,
“I figured, ‘Maybe I can get into the theater space somehow, maybe something will take off.’ It didn’t, but I did make a lot of connections, and I did make memories that last a lifetime.”
Lynch relocated to Chicago, attending Columbia College to study acting in 2011, and had planned to return to New York City.
Weeks before she was set to move back to the Big Apple, Lynch landed stunt work on the TV show ‘Vikings‘ and trained for the show at a wrestling gym owned by a friend.
It was while training for the show that Lynch was encouraged to try out for WWE and was signed to a developmental deal in 2013.
