Becky Lynch failed to defeat WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley at Saturday’s WWE WrestleMania 40 (Night One) pay-per-view event.

During a recent appearance on “The School of Greatness” podcast, Lynch recalled attacking Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018, which led to her becoming The Man and winning the main event of WrestleMania 35.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the heel turn not exactly being a heel turn: “I knew, she [Flair] knew, kind of a lot of people knew this wasn’t going to be a heel turn. This was going to be a mega babyface turn for me because now I would get this attitude and this shoulder chip and all that kind of stuff, and that worked to a certain point.”

On her feud with Lacey Evans: “Things just didn’t feel that they were right, still trying the social media thing that just felt inauthentic, and I felt that I put out some stuff that I wish I didn’t. I just wish I didn’t put that out there.”

Becky Lynch also spoke with Adrian Hernandez about the driving factor of self-doubt in her illustrious career.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On it driving her: “Honestly, I don’t know how to do it any other way,” Lynch said. “I don’t know how to coast. I don’t know how to rest on my laurels. I’m always thinking about the next thing. I’m always thinking about how we can be better. And I think that’s one…I think you’ll read about it in the book, I have this weird juxtaposition about self-doubt and self-belief, almost in equal measures, that continue to drive me.”

On having plenty left in the tank: “I’m a lot closer to the end than I am the beginning,” Lynch said. “But there’s still a lot left in the tank. But it’s ‘How do we continue to make it grow? How do we make it better? How do I make sure that the business is a whole lot better once I’m gone then when I entered?’ And already, it’s night and day. It’s night and day. But I just want it to continue on the upward trajectory.”
