Bobby Lashley has spoken of his connection, or lack thereof, with WWE CCO Triple H as questions remain over his future as a WWE Superstar.

On a recent edition of the “Laboratory” podcast, Lashley was asked if he has enjoyed a deeper connection with Triple H or Vince McMahon. He said,

“If I say the wrong thing right now [Laughter]. I had a connection with Vince. Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show. He looked at people that were stars. He saw that in me. There were a lot of little nuggets that Vince would give me throughout my career and tell me different things. Vince looked at me like, ‘I can tell Bobby works his ass off. I can send him anywhere around the country to represent the brand.’ He looked at me like a star. I like Vince.

“I haven’t really had too much of a connection with Hunter. Hunter has his guys. I’ve tried to, but we haven’t really worked enough together to get to know each other.”

Lashley worked with McMahon on-screen in 2007 as he was selected to represent Donald Trump in the Battle of the Billionaires against McMahon’s Umaga.

After Lashley’s victory over Umaga at WrestleMania 23, McMahon would be shaved bald and would later win the ECW World Championship from Lashley.

It was reported this week that Lashley’s WWE contract will expire this weekend and many believe he is set to leave the promotion.

Lashley returned to WWE in 2018. During this time, he has become a multi-time United States Champion and a two-time WWE Champion.
