On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T reacted to Bret Hart mentioning that the 5-time WCW Champion almost killed him with the scissor kick at WCW Bash At The Beach.

Booker T also discussed the potential of Joe Hendry and promised to get the TNA Wrestling star over with the WWE fanbase.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Bret Hart’s claim: “Honestly, I think Bret was just being sarcastic. I mean the Goldberg part, I think that was real. [laughs] But as far as me and Bret Hart, we had great chemistry, we had a great time. It was a highlight of my career working with Bret Hart, just because I admired him. My suplex is because of Bret Hart. I always wanted to do my suplex just like Bret. He had that giant suplex, high knee up. That floatover felt a certain way, so he’s kind of like one of my guys.

“But as far as my scissor kick, I never hurt — I never have gotten any complaints about the scissor kick. But you know, I’ve broken guys’ noses and didn’t realize it until later on in life. Like Brian Kendrick said I broke his nose. I did break his nose. But it wasn’t something that was out of malice or anything like that. Was I a little bit stiff? I can say that. Was I a little snug? Sometimes it may have landed a little tight or a little snug? Yeah. I was actually looking at a match with Bret Hart just yesterday. And I actually focused in on the scissor kick. And I had the knee brace on. And I whacked him, bro. I whacked him so friggin hard. I’m serious. So what he’s saying, it could have some truth to it. But I don’t remember ever hurting Bret Hart. And I have nothing but high praise for the Hit Man.”

On Joe Hendry: “I’m gonna’ make sure I get this kid over. I’m gonna give him the rub like everyone else. You know, like Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, Trick Williams. I’ll give this kid the rub. He’s very talented. He’s very talented on the guitar. You know what I mean? He’s got a nice voice. I told his kid, ‘You could be a crossover star, man. You can be a dual athlete. You know, you can wrestling in the main event and you can go to a concert immediately after. So, let’s see if we can go get this paper.’ That’s what it’s all about.”
