Booker T has high expectations for Jacob Fatu in WWE following the former MLW star’s debut for the promotion on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
In the closing moments of the show, Fatu attacked Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes, the latter of whom he sent through a table.
On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T spoke about Fatu’s arrival and why he’s excited for his future in WWE. He said,
“The fans have been waiting and anticipating the arrival of Jacob Fatu. I’m just glad that Jacob stayed the course, more than anything. I’ve even talking to Jacob for quite some time about man, just stay the course, your time is gonna come, and now that time has come. He’s making a huge impact, and I just want to see this kid take over this wrestling game.
“People always talk about the Samoan dynasty, and I really believe Jacob Fatu may be the best out of the whole group. He may just absolutely be, so we gonna’ find out how good Jacob Fatu actually really is. But I’m proud of the kid. I really am.”
Booker T added that Fatu has the all-important ‘it’ factor and believes his debut in the main event scene demonstrates WWE’s high faith in their newest signing.
Fatu is also known for his time with Major League Wrestling. His 819-day reign as MLW World Champion is the longest reign in the company’s history.
