WWE NXT commentator and Hall of Famer Booker T was just as surprised as the fans when Ethan Page made his arrival on the gold brand.
Mere weeks after his exit from AEW, Page appeared on this week’s episode of WWE NXT and attacked reigning WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams.
On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T spoke about Page’s surprise debut at the show. He said,
“It caught me off guard. I’m sitting at the table, and the next thing you know, Ethan Page hit the ring. His face appears, and we see who it is. I’m gonna tell you right now, I didn’t know Ethan Page was going to be there until it actually happened. That’s what was really cool about it. We were talking about it, [there were] no leaks or anything like that. I didn’t even know Ethan Page was available. I thought he still worked for AEW … It was actually something that I haven’t seen in wrestling in a long time, as far as the boys being surprised, like ‘What the hell’s going on here?’ So that was a great moment.”
It has been reported that Page has signed a contract with WWE. The All-Ego talent had denied that claim but has said WWE knows how to reach him.
