WWE conducted a round of internal layoffs on Wednesday, impacting several departments across the organization. Pwinsider is reporting that the cuts affected teams including Creative Services, Photography, and others.
One of the most prominent departures was Christine Lubrano, who served as Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations. Lubrano played a significant role behind the scenes, overseeing key elements of WWE’s programming.
Lubrano had been with WWE since January 2021 and “was tasked with overseeing all strategic operations for the company’s creative division. The Raw, SmackDown, and NXT creative teams reported to both Lubrano and Bruce Prichard, who in turn reported to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque [Triple H].”
Although WWE has yet to issue an official statement, it is said that between 10 and 12 employees were let go, with the final number possibly rising as the situation evolves.
While there haven’t been any talent cuts just yet, those usually come shortly after the executive cuts. So it could be an interesting day ahead.
