Bron Breakker was adamant that the next challenger for his WWE Intercontinental Championship was going to have to earn it, setting up a series of matches over the past few weeks that culminated in Monday night’s Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender’s bout.
On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Braun Strowman, Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov, and Jey Uso battled it out for the right to be Breakker’s next challenger. After a hard-fought contest that saw the return of Bronson Reed interfering to take The Monster of All Monsters Braun Strowman out of the equation, Jey Uso was able to get the pinfall over Pete Dunne following a splash from the top rope.
As of this publication, WWE has yet to announce when Jey Uso will receive his title opportunity. It can be assumed WWE Bad Blood or an upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW, but nothing has been confirmed. Stay tuned to eWrestlingNews.com for updates on that announcement.
