Could Carmelo Hayes be known as the resident Legend Killer moving forward after earning a huge victory on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown?
On this week’s episode of SmackDown, Hayes defeated Randy Orton and Tama Tonga in a triple threat to earn a spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Speaking on the “SmackDown Lowdown,” Hayes spoke about his victory and suggested he should be known as the legend killer going forward. He said,
“Yeah, I did pin Randy Orton. But come on Kayla, what did you expect? I’m Him. He is a 14-time champ, [a] legend killer. Maybe I should start calling myself a legend killer.”
Orton established himself as the legend killer in the early 2000s with attacks and victories over the likes of Mick Foley and The Undertaker, among others.
WWE Money in the Bank 2024 will take place next month from Toronto, Canada and will mark Hayes’ first time in the signature match.
