Chad Gable had no problem working with Gable Steveson even though the latter got the better of Gable at the biggest WWE event of 2022.
At WrestleMania 38, Gable Steveson made an impact by throwing Chad Gable around the ring following a RAW Tag Team Championship match.
On a recent edition of the “Cheap Heat” podcast, Gable recalled working with Steveson at the event and whether there were any issues.
“He came in the ring after I lost, threw me around. The reality was, I wasn’t upset by any of that. None of that bothered me. I looked at from his perspective and I was imagining myself in his shoes thinking, ‘I wouldn’t want to be you right now. There is so much hype surrounding you, and you haven’t even started training yet. This is your debut. It’s on WrestleMania.’ Everyone kind of wants that, but you better deliver. This is their first look at you.”
While Gable delivered quite the throw on the night, the rest of his WWE career fell flat and his only TV match would come in NXT in 2023 and end in a double count-out.
Steveson was released from WWE earlier this year. Gable on the other hand has had arguably the best year of his career and is currently working with the Wyatt Sicks.
