During an interview with Michael Fairman ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria discussed her relationship with her former tag team partner, Bayley, outside of the ring.
Bayley was pulled from their planned tag team title match at WrestleMania 41.
Valkyria said, “Bayley is amazing, and even though we haven’t teamed for that long, I think a big part of why we work so well is honestly outside of the ring, we hit it off just so well out of nowhere. I feel like that really plays into our matches. Anytime we’re on screen together, we’re just… she’s just so great.”
During a recent appearance on the “Click and Tell” podcast, Chelsea Green described winning the WWE Women’s United States Championship as a “perfect moment” in her career.
Chelsea defeated Michin in the tournament finals and became the inaugural champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
She said, “It was just the perfect moment. The crowd was amazing. They were chanting my name the entire time, from start to finish. It was a moment that a wrestler would dream of.”
Chelsea lost the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Zelina Vega on last night’s episode of SmackDown.
During a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez, Chelsea Green discussed missing the opportunity to compete at WWE WrestleMania 41 this year. She said,
“At the end of the day, of course, after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show. I wanted them to be on the show. At the end of the day, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. The women who were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. Although I’m upset and I wish I could have been on it, I’m really proud of the girls.”
