CM Punk has confirmed that he has suffered a torn triceps and will be out of this year’s WrestleMania 40 pay-per-view event.
On Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk kicked off the show with an emotional promo where he confirmed the reports that he’s injured.
Punk stated that while he’s the “Best in the World,” that doesn’t mean he always wins. He told the WWE fans to look at his brief UFC run. While Punk confirmed that he wouldn’t be at WrestleMania 40, he said there “is always next year.”
This led to Drew McIntyre coming out, who took credit for injuring CM Punk. He went on to mock Punk over his injury, which resulted in Punk saying that McIntyre would be the first person on his list to take out when he returns. McIntyre then attacked Punk, which led to Sami Zayn coming out to make the save.
We send our best wishes to CM Punk for a quick and full recovery.
