Missed out on WWE Monday Night RAW (7/8/2024), but want to know what’s happening with CM Punk’s feuds against Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s a quick TL;DW (too long, didn’t watch) rundown of the important beats you need to know from this episode.
In the opening segment, CM Punk cut a promo about screwing over Drew McIntyre at WWE Money in the Bank this past Saturday night in Toronto. He spoke on how actions have consequences and he’s going to keep messing with McIntyre as long as there is air in his lungs.
This prompted Seth Rollins to come out, picking a bone about how Punk’s involvement in the World Heavyweight Championship match inadvertently screwed him, as well. For those who missed it, McIntyre had cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, got attacked by Punk, and was pinned by Damian Priest, forcing Rollins to have lost any future title shot so long as Priest is champion (though that would later be retconned; find out how/why here)
Punk somewhat apologized, only to go back on it. The two traded verbal barbs, which ended with The Visionary putting out a threat that as soon as Punk is cleared, he’s going after him.
Later in the show, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce asked CM Punk to go home, as he likes to stir things up and pick fights. If he does it again, a match with McIntyre and any future title aspirations are out the window. Pearce wants Punk to let him handle McIntyre with a meeting next week.
When do you think all of this will go down? Will we see Punk vs. McIntyre first, or Punk vs. Rollins? Or a Triple Threat? Who are you rooting for? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
