CM Punk believes that TKO Group Holdings, which consists of both WWE and the UFC, is helping to bring pro wrestling back to its roots.
TKO was launched in September of last year and came five months after it was announced that Endeavor had acquired WWE for the sum of $9 billion.
In recent comments to TKO’s social media, Punk spoke about how the company is helping affect the wrestling landscape. He said,
“There are a lot of reasons why I think the crossover between UFC and WWE is important. We are all under the TKO umbrella, but to me, what’s important about this is that it brings pro wrestling back to its roots. I think there are a lot of similarities, there are a lot of parallels, and at the end of the day, we are all brothers and sisters, and we are all fighters. It’s really exciting for me to see.”

In addition to his career in WWE, Punk has fought in the UFC where he suffered one loss and one match was ruled a no-contest.
